Geneva rally for human rights in Eritrea
Thousands of Eritreans from all over the world gathered in Geneva yesterday, on July 26, to rally against human right abuses in their home country.
Below is a little clip and where you can see some of the people that united, among them placards with Free Dawit Isaak on too. On the picture (above) it is a photo of Dawit Isaak and text written in Swedish says: “Thank you, all journalists. Keep on fighting for my uncle.”
From one of our sources who participated “it was one of the most successful and emotional manifestations ever”.
More Eritreans dare to stand up for their rights than before but one of the reasons they united for this rally was because on the 22nd of July pro-governmental Eritreans also came to protest in Geneva but against the Report of the Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in Eritrea.
The report was released earlier in June and you can read the full report here.
