UN: Eritrean leaders should be tried for crimes against humanity
Today the United Nations released their annual report on human rights situation in Eritrea. The investigators accused the Eritrean government of crimes as torture, rape, and murder. Since 1991 the mandatory indefinite national military service is on the scale of mass enslavement Reuters also reports it says in the U.N. report. Also, it says that visitors to Eritrea should not be fooled by the calm and polished surface as the tortures were carried out in military camps. The U.N. investigation team has not been allowed by the Eritrean government to visit the country but Eritrea’s diplomats met the team at the headquarters in New York. Source & full article: Reuters
